Philip De Guzman is a writer and editor using words to solve problems, design products, and open minds. Currently, he is a production editor at Scholastic. There, he helps tell stories to younger audiences and understands the lasting importance of the written word.

Previously, he was an assistant editor at the New York Botanical Garden and a senior legal assistant at Forever 21. He was a founder and editor at Ano Ba, a Filipino American magazine, where he helped define its brand identity and directed editorial. Philip studied creative writing at Columbia University, and currently at work on a memoir about his childhood in San Gabriel Valley, a region east of downtown Los Angeles.
